Chris Hardman is an experienced painter in watercolours and oils. He has developed his painting techniques to enable him to work in a realistic style that conveys a powerful sense of texture, structure and light. In 1996 he became a professional artist and moved to Cornwall where he paints watercolour landscapes and portraits in oils. The artist has a degree in art and a postgraduate qualification in art education.

For 8 years he was a senior lecturer teaching painting, drawing and computer graphics to students studying for Bachelor of Arts Degrees. His academic experience and travels have given him an extensive knowledge of painting, resulting in a broad range of influences with a particular interest in the watercolour paintings of Walter Langley and Charles Rennie MacIntosh.
